Inspiration Behind Newmi Care
Our founders, Aditi & Sanchit are parents to a 3.5-year-old, and their own experiences when they were going through their birthing journey made them realize that as a culture in India, we are much more focused on the child, when the baby is inside the womb or comes outside, and not as much on the mother and her needs through the journey.
Aditi is a two-time ‘Cancer Conqueror’ and gave birth while Cancer was building in her body for the second time. Inspite of her history and her care needs the ecosystem never proactively told her that the cancer can come back with pregnancy related hormonal changes.
They got hassled with fragmented ecosystem, broken care journey, lack of preventive care and over reliance on friends and family advise. ′As a result, they decided to create an ecosystem to help women in our country with their health and wellness needs.
After years of being overlooked we think women’s health and wellness should be treated as a priority. So, with the aim to improve women’s health across their journey from puberty to menopause, and maternal care, Newmi Care was “Born”.
We created an ecosystem ‘women’ need

Health: Proactive disease management & self-care

Convenience: All your products & services needs at one place

Holistic Wellness: Mind, Body, Soul, Social and Financial

Pregnancy was a very empowering experience for me especially when I got to know that I had cancer in my body building up while I was pregnant. I have a whole lot of respect for my body having been able to create and sustain a life inside itself, and so I am a more responsible towards it now, fitness is a major part of my life now and I am very well read and aware of what I feed myself, food, emotions, thoughts, everything.
I connected with Kabir (my son) in the quietest moments of the day, through meditation, through the power of thoughts, we both calmed each other, and I felt the energies around us were different and very positive, I was lot more in sync with the universe and in turn myself. I had a blast, ate whatever i wanted to without any guilt, was at work every day through most of it!!
The excitement to share this wonderful and beautiful world with Kabir was exhilarating!!

Pregnancy for me was an exciting journey, I remember feeling strong. Her movements inside my tummy made me feel like there was something special going on. In terms of change, I feel I have less time for myself now (which is obvious) an no more spontaneous plans! gone are those days !! I enjoyed my street food during pregnancy but what I really missed was eating fish!

I knew I was making irreplaceable memories!! the kicks mostly made me feel connected to the baby the most, kind of gave a sense of what kind of a mood the baby was in at different points in time :). I fondly remember late night movie watching with family 😊. Being a mother has definitely made me a lot more patient.

Pregnancy for me was literally a lull before the storm! Pregnancy has taught me the (super)power of being a woman and made me realise that a child’s birth is not a child play. It also brought me closer to my mom. The Doppler ultrasounds, the cravings, pampering from family members and of course the rise in kicks especially when I used to drink something sweet, are some of my fondest memories.
In my opinion (of course if your gynae permits) you must definitely go for a babymoon. I went to Sri Lanka during my second pregnancy’s second trimester. The place was just an hour’s flight from Bangalore. We kept the itinerary very simple and doable. It was a very relaxing and beautiful holiday. One of my most memorable ones.

I have become stronger now physically and mentally compared to what I was, but emotionally sensitive. It’s an amazing feeling seeing my daughter talk or blabber sometimes I laugh so much that I get tears. Her pronunciations wow me, and her voice is heart melting. She tries to imitate me too. It’s hilarious. Her movements inside my tummy when I used to eat something sweet has to be one of my favourite memory from my pregnancy.
I experienced a lot of Sleepless nights and had throat burn throughout my pregnancy, so eating lot of my favourite cuisines and food is something that I missed! I believe going for a babymoon is a must! It’s so refreshing, spend some quality time with your hubby, get pampered and relax, eat tasty food!
